Online taxi firm GetTaxi today launches a special offer where customers can ride certain routes within central Liverpool for £5.
To be eligible for the £5 fare download the app, register your details and intended journey and, if a pop-up appears saying it will be £5 then the deal stands. The example fare given by the company is a ride from Albert Dock to Waterfront. GetTaxi say it would typically cost £12 but under the offer it will be just £5.

Police seek taxi driver after 'serious sexual assault'
Police investigating the sexual assault of a woman in a taxi have issued a description of a man they want to trace.
Officers say the 22-year-old woman had been in Leeds when she got a taxi to return home to the Kirkstall Road area. The driver took her to a secluded location and subjected her to a serious sexual assault. She managed to get free from the car and ran home.
The suspect is described as Asian, aged in his fifties and well built. He was wearing a long white Kurta Pajama and a white cap.
It happened on 21 September 2014, but police believe the man's description could lead to him being identified.
Although some time has passed since the incident, the description of the offender together with the e-fit is very distinctive and we would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may know who the suspect is.
