A body was found in a canal in Old Trafford after it became tangled in the propeller of a boat.
Police were called to the water taxi on the Bridgewater Canal off Trafford Wharf Road on Friday morning following the grim discovery at around 9.20am.
It is understood the vessel’s engine cut out when the man’s body became caught in the propeller.
When the skipper pulled the engine out of the water, he saw the deceased man and raised the alarm.
