CHELMSFORD CROWN COURT

A TEENAGE victim of an Iranian sex abuse gang wanted to “shower with bleach” after being raped by a taxi driver in his flat, a court heard.

Mohammed Rostami, 37, and Amin Kaveh, 35, both of The Renown, Shoebury, and Mehdi Zare, 32, of Lupin Drive, Chelmsford, are standing trial on multiple charges of rape and sexual abuse relating to three victims.

Two Chelmsford-based taxi drivers are also accused of raping one of the victims.

Chelmsford Crown Court heard how the 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and raped by Kaveh on numerous occasions between September 2012 and March 2013.

The pizza shop delivery man met her through the shop and befriended her, before forcing her to snort the designer drug mephedrone.

This led to an addiction which Kaveh exploited by making her work as a prostitute for two years.
The court heard how during this time she would be driven around Essex and London to have sex with dozens of Iranian men, being told “bad things” would happen if she did not.

Speaking via videolink from Spain, where she now lives, the victim said she had not planned to forward until she was contacted by detectives.
She said: “I was just trying to put all this behind me. But I still have the main traumatic moments in my head.

“I’m still having nightmares about it. I know this is a bit personal but I just want to put it out there so you can understand how I felt about it all.
“I have been with my new partner for about a year but I couldn’t have any sexual contact with him until about four months ago because of how sick I have been feeling all this time.”

Describing the time she was allegedly raped by taxi driver Mehdi Khashi, 32, of Rookes Crescent, Chelmsford, she said the 19-minute ordeal was “extremely unpleasant and slightly violent”.
Khashi is alleged to have invited her to his flat in Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, in April 2014, on the pretence of asking her to help him with paperwork.

She says he starting kissing her, pinned her to the bed and raped her, before he was disturbed by housemates. He then gave her £10 and drove her to her boyfriend’s house.

She said: “I was disgusted with him and also with myself. But I just wanted to go home and shower with bleach.”

Mohammed Zarei, 32, also a taxi driver, of Delamere Road, Chelmsford, is alleged to have raped the same girl on another occasion.
Rostami is alleged to have got a different girl hooked on mephedrone, also known as Miaow-Miaow, in 2006, raping her and forcing her to have sex with dozens of Iranians between 2006 and 2012.

Zare was also allegedly involved in her abuse and took over her control when Rostami got bored.
Kaveh is accused of luring a girl, 16, from Southend, into working for him as a prostitute, also by getting her hooked on drugs.

Rostami is charged with two counts of sexual activity with a child; one count of causing or inciting sexual exploitation of a child; one count of rape; and three counts of supplying a controlled drug to another.

Kaveh is charged with three counts of supplying a controlled drug to another; one count of assault by penetration; three counts of rape; one count of causing or inciting prostitution for gain; and one count of controlling prostitution for gain.

Mehdi Zare, 32, of no fixed address, is charged with three counts of sexual activity with a child; one count of arranging or facilitating sexual exploitation of a child; and three counts of supplying a controlled drug to another.

The men deny all the sexual offences but Kaveh, Rostami and Zare admit supplying the drugs.
